House rental firm to fight against ruling

I found it in internet, maybe it will be interesting to you. It`s interesting if you searhing rental house articles.

Blue Sky Holdings owner Robert Bangerter said the firm would appeal against the Tenancy Tribunal ruling which ordered he pay $7580 to Papatoetoe couple Murray and Wendy Young.
The tribunal found that the $145 weekly payment, which was on top of their rent, was illegal and the Youngs should be reimbursed.
The Youngs had thought the extra money was being used to help them buy back their house which they sold when they had mortgage repayment problems three years ago.
The Housing Ministry is aware of seven other cases involving Blue Sky and have been speaking to tenants with similar agreements.
But Mr Bangerter said information about the case reported last week was "totally wrong". Mr Bangerter, a semi-retired 66-year-old based in Auckland, said his company had "in excess of 400 tenants".

He also had a big pool of investors.

Mr Bangerter said he had spoken to the Youngs who he said had agreed that the money not be given to them because he was appealing the decision rental house.
Asked what he thought of Housing Minister Steve Maharey criticising the scheme last week, Mr Bangerter said he also had it "totally wrong".
"Unfortunately for him, I can't comment any further. But the more he talks about it, the worse it gets."
Mrs Young refused to talk to The Dominion Post rental, saying she was trying to get over the stress of the past couple of years.
A ministry spokeswoman said it had had no official notice about an appeal. Mr Bangerter had 10 working days since the decision, issued on May 13, to appeal, she said.
